Mark Parmeter, 74, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Mark was born on October 16, 1951 in Logansport to Raymond and Gertrude Parmeter. On October 24, 1970, he married the love of his life, Penny (Louthain) Parmeter. Together they shared more than 55 wonderful years of marriage.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Penny; his three sons, Mark (Shawnna) Parmeter, Adam (Zehra) Parmeter, and Ryan (Lisa) Parmeter; his grandchildren, Kari (Heath) Frost, Kayden and Carter Lancaster, Tyson Steadman, and Colt, Bodhi, and Gabriel Parmeter; his great-grandson, Nicholas Frost; his sisters, Judy Settlemyre, Linda (Ron) Phillips, and Diana (Mike) Ladeau; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Mark dedicated more than 40 years of service to Matthew-Warren, where he took great pride in his work and in representing his coworkers. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Above all, Mark loved his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with them, especially sharing his passion for hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. He also looked forward to annual hunting and fishing trips to Canada with his sons and friends, enjoyed golfing, and cherished spending his winters in Alabama with family. Mark was known for his ability to fix just about anything. He was loving, strong, dependable, and hardworking. Those who knew and loved him often said he was the toughest man they had ever known. His quiet example, unwavering work ethic, and enduring presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
