Judith Ann Lavanchy-Smith

Judith Ann Lavanchy-Smith, age 87, of Royal Center, passed away peacefully at her home at 5:57 pm Friday August 21, 2026.

Born January 5, 1939, in Fairmount, IN to the late John Charles and Norma Louis (Nicholson) Peacock. On September 21, 1958, she married Dr. Harry C. Lavanchy who preceded her in death in March of 1993. Later she married Forrest Smith who preceded her in death in 1998.

Judith was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafts and sewing. In 1969 she helped organize the Moonbeams Home Economics Club.

Survivors include two sons, Aaron Lavanchy, Royal Center; Phillip (Elaine) Lavanchy, Muncie; one brother, Bob (Jane) Peacock, Fairmount, IN; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

According to Judy’s wishes there will be so services and the Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory are honored to serve her family and carry out her final wishes.
