Ronald E. Nolte, 87, of Logansport, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born May 24, 1939, in Paxton, Illinois, to the late Herman F. and Vida B. (Stempion) Nolte.

After school, Ron served his country in the United States Army from 1957-1963.

Ron married Janet E. Enyart on September 17, 1999, in Clarksville, TN, and she preceded him in death in April of 2022.

Ronald was a custodial supervisor for the Logansport Community School Corporation. He was also a member of the Murat Temple of Indianapolis, past commander and member of the American Legion Post #60, past president of the Logansport Shrine Club, a member of the Naphtail Masonic Lodge #389, a member of the Grotto IBN Saud of Kokomo and a past Scottish Rite member of Indianapolis.

Ron is survived by his children, Jody (Lori) Nolte, Jason (Anita) Nolte, Jill (Greg) Finks; step-son, Michael (Carly) Ott; grandchildren, Adam Nolte, Garrett (Cassandra Hines) Nolte, Grayson Nolte and Nathan Nolte; step-grandchildren, Sierra Ott, Tabatha Ott, Ella Ott, Ava Ott, Mya Ott, and Owen Ott; great grandchildren, Isabella and Abraham Nolte.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Thomas J. Ott, one brother, Robert Nolte, and two sisters, Marjorie Gott and Donnabelle Nottali.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday August 18, 2026, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating. Full military rites will be provided by the Cass County Honor Guard just prior to the funeral service.

A private burial will take place, at a later date, in Corinth Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday.

In accordance with Ron’s wishes, cremation will be entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory.
