David Lee Wandrei, 57, of Logansport, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
Born in Logansport, David was the son of the late Clarence “Fred” and Edith Wandrei-Campbell. He was a graduate of Covenant Christian High School and dedicated more than three decades of his career to the North Central Juvenile Correctional Facility.
David enjoyed being involved with the amateur radio club and had a longtime love for the sport and the friendships that came along with it. He was also an avid Indiana sports fan and could often be found cheering on the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Fever. David also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Jack, who was a faithful companion and brought him much happiness over the years.
David is survived by his great-aunt, Mabel Rehwald; uncle, Charles (Jean) Wandrei of Royal Center; cousins, Jeffery Wandrei of Indianapolis and Jarret and Heather Wandrei of Zionsville; as well as several other cousins, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Louise Wandrei; and his beloved dog, Jack.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Gundrum Funeral Home.
