Mary Ann Gustin nee Maschino, age 98 of Logansport, Indiana passed away peacefully at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was at home with her son and caregiver Archie L. Gustin.
Born at home on her beloved father’s farm on July 4, 1928 in Spencer Township, Jennings County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Anna M. (Gerth) Maschino. She was a 1946 graduate and Valedictorian at the former Hayden High School in nearby Hayden, Indiana.
In early 1955 she met and then on October 8, 1955 wed her husband Harry Guy Gustin. He preceded her in death in Logansport on Saturday, April 6, 2019.
Mary Ann formerly worked at W.T. Grant and then Baker’s Specialty & Supply Company both in Logansport. A devout Mother, Homemaker and Catholic, she was an active parishioner initially at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church and then at All Saints Catholic Church also both in Logansport. She enjoyed her family, gardening and her flowers especially.
Survivors include her children, Ann Koudelik Scott (Miles) of Houston, Texas, Carl Gustin (Brenda) of Michigan, Alice Gustin of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Archie Gustin (Diane) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, her dear Sisters-in-law Phyllis Maschino and Ellender Maschino both of Columbus, Indiana, Loretta Stark, Luellen Gustin and Gayle Gustin all of Greenfield, Indiana, 5 grandchildren including Holly Haslett (Mike) and Hilary Gustin both of Michigan, 2 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandson.
She was also preceded in death by her infant sister Elizabeth Maschino, brothers Louis, Gilbert, Charles, Donald and Dale Maschino, Sisters-in-law Lavonne, Rosie, and Emma Jane Maschino, Jean Gustin, and Brothers-in-law Lloyd and Gary Gustin, Jim Stark and Eric Pierson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the All Saints Catholic Church, 112 East Market Street, Logansport. Burial for immediate family only will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, and a meal will be served at the Church immediately afterwards.
