On Dec. 19, 2018 at approximately 3:50 p.m., a Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy and an Indiana State Police trooper were attempting to locate two motorcycles that were traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on SR 25 from the Clymers area. They were located on US 35 and CR 150 E, allegedly traveling in excess of 101 mph.

The Cass County Sheriff says law enforcement attempted to stop the motorcycles but they refused. The deputy and trooper pursued the motorcycles with the assistance of other officers from the Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and Logansport Police Department.

The pursuit continued south on US 35, then west on CR 300 S to CR 325 E.

The deputy lost sight of the motorcycles in the area of CR 300 S and 325 E. Officers remained in the area and a Logansport Police Officer located one of the motorcycles traveling west in the 4600 block of East Wabash River Road.

The sheriff says the suspect fled on foot to a wooded area, where he was later taken into custody.

Seth Decker, 18, of Frankfort, was incarcerated in the Cass County Jail.

The Sheriff said in a news release Thursday that investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
