Emergency warning siren maintenance, testing planned for week of June 27, 2022

Last Updated on June 27, 2022 by Cass County Emergency Management Agency

This week a vendor will be in Cass County performing annual service and inspection on the county warning siren system. Each individual warning siren will be serviced, inspected and function tested. Work will begin Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning and continue over multiple days.

Residents may hear periodic siren activation as individual sirens are worked on, and there may be a group test at the end to confirm all settings and programming are correct before the vendor leaves town. Timing will depend on the time required to diagnose and repair all issues identified.

At this time there is no Hazardous Weather Outlook from the National Weather Service and sunny skies are predicted thru the week.

This will take the place of the test that would normally fall on Monday, July 4 as to not interrupt or interfere with festivities and planned events.
