Victor W. Korreckt, Jr.

Victor W. Korreckt Jr., 60, Logansport, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo.

Born January 21, 1956, in Logansport, he was the son of Victor W. Sr. and Margaret A. (Shideler)  Korreckt.  His mother survives in Logansport.

On June 10, 1978, in Logansport, he was married to Barbara (Ream) Korreckt, who survives.

A graduate of Logansport High School, Victor was employed as a supervisor at Coca Cola Bottling Company.

The ultimate outdoorsman, Victor’s hobbies included hunting deer, fishing and mushroom hunting.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving with his wife and mother are two daughters and sons-in-law: Jessica and Chris Chadwell of Walton and Cortney and Joshua Justice of Kokomo; three brothers: Rick Korreckt and Scott Korreckt, both of Logansport and Frank(Jennifer) Korreckt of Hoover; six grandchildren: Austin and Aaron Chadwell, and Gabriel, Alanna, Emma and Zoe Justice; and his aunt Marilyn Divley, of Fulton

He was preceded in death by his father and a special uncle, Frank Divley.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Victor Korreckt will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Dawn Fisher officiating.

His family requests that those attending his service please bring their deer call for a “Hunter’s Salute.”

Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the chapel.
