Logansport Savings Bank welcomes new Junior Board members for 202

Last Updated on August 25, 2025 by cassnetwork

Logansport Savings Bank (LSB) is proud to announce the start of its Junior Board program for
the 2025-2026 school year, welcoming 16 exceptional high school students from all four county
schools throughout Cass County. This initiative, now in its seventh year, continues to provide a
hands-on, educational experience designed to foster leadership development, career
exploration, and financial literacy.

The Junior Board program offers students a unique opportunity to engage with local businesses
and community leaders through tours and presentations. This year, the students will visit six
local businesses and hear from influential community leaders, gaining insights into various
career paths and the workings of successful enterprises.

In addition to these experiences, the Junior Board members will collaborate on research
presentations focused on various other local nonprofit organizations. One of the commitments
that the Junior Board students make is to give back through volunteering and community
service hours that are tracked and then reimbursed by Logansport Savings Bank. The money
earned from these community service hours is used at the end of the year to support one of the
local nonprofits that the students presented on to their peers. This learning and volunteering
initiative not only benefits the students but also strengthens our community by financially
supporting vital local services.

“At Logansport Savings Bank, we believe in investing in the future of Logansport and Cass
County,” said Chad Higgins, President and CEO at Logansport Savings Bank. “We are working
through an extensive, multi-phase construction project on our downtown campus, redesigning it
to support our commitment to growth in the future. The Junior Board program continues to be
one of the ways we prioritize growth and development as a community partner. We genuinely
enjoy spending time with these young leaders to promote financial literacy and encourage them
to consider career opportunities and pathways that would be available to them right here at
home. We are excited to see the positive impact these students will make in our community this
year.”

The LSB Junior Board is led by four senior students serving in an officer role:
J. Michael Myers, President – Lewis Cass High School

all of them throughout the year. These talented students are looking forward to a year of
learning and community service.
