Kent R. Hall

Kent R. Hall, 87, of Logansport, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Cedar Creek Nursing Home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born March 15, 1939, in Logansport, to the late Ralph and Mable (Ping) Hall. He married Beverly Jean Parmeter on September 10, 1958, in Greentown, IN, and she preceded him in death on January 1, 2015.

Kent was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, having served his great country from 1958 to 1962. It was often said that his two greatest accomplishments were being a Navy Corpsman and his children – in that order.

After coming home from service, he went to work for Mer-Dels Foods and retired from there after 32 years. He also was the Weight and Measures Inspector for Cass County for several years. Kent enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, cooking out on the grill, his dogs, watching old westerns and WWE, and was a talented woodworker.

Kent is survived by his children, Lori (Mike) Kempf, Brian Hall, and Christopher (Bobbi) Hall; grandchildren, Wendy (Broc) Rennewanz, Ian Eskildsen, Derick (MaryKate) Hall, Joshua (Angela) Hall, J.D. (Faye) Maggart, Danny (Jordan) Maggart, Andrew (Katie) Hall, Brooklyn Kempf, and Sierra Kempf; great grandchildren, Halle, Reese, Jaycee, Briar, Maddux, Maya, Quinn, Rowan, Teagan, Ava, Vivian, McKenley, Mason, Hannah, Harper, Lainie, and Xander; sisters-in-law, Sharon Parmeter and Sally Hall.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Keith Hall; sister, Carolyn Stanton; and a brother-in-law, Fran Stanton.

Family and friends are invited to the celebration of life that will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, all at the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Indian Creek Christian Cemetery in Lucerne, IN.
