Andrew Howard Upton, age 28, Fort Wayne, formerly of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Logansport.
Born July 29, 1986, in Logansport, he was the son of James and Diane Claxton Upton. His parents survive, residing in Logansport.
Andrew was employed at Nemcomed in Fort Wayne, a medical instrument manufacturing company. Prior to that he had been employed for nine years at Fulton Industries in Rochester.
A 2005 graduate of Logansport High School, Andrew loved baseball and especially the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed all sports, fishing and Frisbee golf.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his siblings, Katie (Jason) Thacker, Martinsville, Patrick (Debbie) Upton, Fort Wayne, Shane Upton (Katie Bohac), Logansport; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Claxton, Walton; paternal
grandparents, Katherine and Roger Jenkins, Logansport.
Also surviving are six nieces and nephews, Sadie Thacker, Layla Thacker, Jared Bridge, Austin Bridge, Jayden Thacker and Gavin Thacker; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Avery Claxton and paternal grandfather, Gain Upton.
The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Father Dominic Petan officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, also at Kroeger Funeral Home.
Full interment will be private for the family only at Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
