Andy L. Miller, age 54, Logansport, formerly of Peru, passed away at 11:51 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born December 4, 1960, in Peru, he was the son of Gerald E. and Geneva “Jenny” Cagle Miller. His mother survives, residing in Denver.
Andy married his best friend Susan Acuff-Conrad (Larrison) on November 7, 2008, with a formal wedding at All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport one year later on November 7, 2009. His wife survives, residing in Logansport.
He was a 1979 graduate of Maconaquah High School, where he was on the wrestling team, played trumpet in the band and was a member of FFA. He was honorably discharged from the Indiana National Guard.
Andy attended Indiana University – Kokomo and was a Qualified Medication Aide and Certificated Nursing Aide.
He had been employed 10 years as an attendant at the Logansport State Hospital. He then had worked at WoodBridge Health Campus.
Andy enjoyed playing the bass guitar, writing poetry, joking and teasing with people and especially his dog, Sadie.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are sons, Jeremey Miller, Peru, and Shane (Kathy) Miller, Mishawaka; sister, Cindy (Sam) Bowen, Peru; grandson, Isaiah Miller; two nieces and one nephew. He was awaiting a granddaughter, due in June.
Andy was a member of Revolution Community Church in Logansport.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Kroeger Funeral Home in Logansport, with a funeral service immediately following visitation at 5:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Pastor Anthony Cozzello will officiate.
Andy’s wife, Susan, requests that the service be casual – no ties please.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
