martinDean H. Martin, age 88, Walton, passed away at 5:48 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Kokomo.

Born August 16, 1926, in Milwaukee, he was the son of Harry Thomas and Marjorie Catherine Mann Martin.
On July 3, 1948, in Peru, he was married to Dona Belle Frank, who survives.

A Royal Center High School graduate, Dean retired as a general foreman at Rockwell Corporation.

A United States Navy veteran, Dean was a life member of the American Legion Post 418, Walton.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Dean was an avid Harley-Davidson rider, starting in the 1940s.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Ami Hood, Walton; son, Mark D. (Sue) Martin, Grand Rapids, MI; and sister, June Goze, Walton. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jennifer (Sam) Hambrick, Andrew Martin, and
Abigail Martin; great grandsons, Brycen Dean Hambrick and Trenton James Hambrick; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, also at the funeral home, with Fr. Mike McKinney officiating.

Interment with full military honors will be in the Walton IOOF Cemetery.
