George Vianco, Jr.

viancoGeorge Vianco, Jr., 81, of Logansport passed away at 11:09 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born November 21, 1933, in Delphi, he was the son of the late George and Dolla (Hedrick) Vianco.  On July 12, 1955 he married Evelyn Shafer.

George retired from the United States Navy after 20 years and Norfolk and Southern Railroad also after 20 years.

He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and U.S. Navy Fleet Reserve.  George enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Vianco of Logansport, children, Brian Vianco of Lafayette, Michael Vianco (Jill) of Altus, Oklahoma, Tracy Vianco (Marsha) of Royal Center and Linda Morris (Tim) of Royal Center, grandchildren, Matthew Vianco of Royal Center, Laci Baker of Altus, Oklahoma, Amanda Vianco of Zionsville, Riley Morris of Royal Center, Jacob Morris of Royal Center and Maci Morris of Royal Center and great grandsons, Cooper Vianco, Mason Vianco, both of Royal Center and Jaxton Baker of Altus, Oklahoma.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Karla Lynn Vianco, brothers, Paul, Tom and Richard Vianco and sisters, Dorothy Trobaugh and Mildred Vianco.

A Celebration of Life Service and Military Rites will be held and performed at 10:30 a.m., March 11, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. Pastor Tim McKaig will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
