Roger G. Wescott, Sr.

wescottRoger G. Wescott Sr., 79, of Logansport, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his family.

Born February 19, 1936 in Rockford, IL, he was a son to the late Archibald and Evelyn Wescott.

On November 8, 1951 in Woodstock, IL, he married Anna R. Grasser who survives.

Roger was a cutter grinder for Chrysler for a little over 30 years. He was also a journeyman cement mason. Roger was a United States Air Force Veteran, and he enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family.

Surviving along with his wife are five sons, Kenneth (Deb) Wescott, Logansport, IN; Matthew (Annette) Wescott, Monticello, IN; Roger G. (Lori) Wescott Jr., Walton, IN; Wayne (Chris) Wescott, Logansport, IN; Steve (Shari) Wescott, Royal Palm Beach, FL; three daughters, Robin (John) Williams, Reynolds, IN; Wendy (Mark) Cotner, Logansport, IN; Dianne Robinson and fiancé Phillip Cannon, Logansport, IN; 28 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two on the way, one brother, Richard Wescott, Monroe, WI; two sisters, Sharon, IL; and Sandy, California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Wayne; and four sisters, Leola, Jean, Lolly and Beverly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Strite officiating. Burial will be at Davis Cemetery with full military graveside rights.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
