The Cass County Community Foundation is delighted to announce that the community has responded to help support the Lewis Cass Marching Band Trip to New York City for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Almost $21,000 had been raised by the end of the match at midnight, Monday April13.

CCCF President Deanna Crispen said, “We are thrilled that so many people  made it a priority to help and donated during the match. We received over 115 individual gifts with donations ranging from coins collected at group meetings to $1000.  We could not be happier to be writing that big check of $41,000 to the band for their trip.”

Members of the award winning band found out last May that they had been selected to perform and have been working hard to raise the $172,000 required for all 147 band members to travel and participate.

The Cass County Community Foundation Office is located at 729 E. Market Street, Logansport and is open M-F, 9am-5pm. For more information, contact the foundation at 574-722-2200.
