Born February 24, 1918, in Winamac, she was the daughter of the late Manny and Metta (Shriner) Baker.
In 1936, Catherine graduated from the Mount Ayr High School in Brook, Indiana.
She was married to George Benda who preceded her in death.
For 43 years, Catherine worked on the assembly line at the Wrigley’s Gum Manufacturing plant in Chicago.
She is survived by several extended family members, including a special niece, Sally (Tom) Farrer, of Lucerne.
Private burial will take place at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.
