Indiana State Police Peru Post Troopers receive Service Awards

Lieutenant Jeremy Kelly, district commander of the Indiana State Police Peru Post, recently recognized four Indiana State Police employees for their continued excellent service to the community during a meeting of the Indiana State Police at the Peru Post.

Sergeant Brian Dormer of Cass County was recognized for 600,000 accident free driving miles. Trooper Adam Duffitt of Howard County was recognized for 250,000 accident free driving miles. Trooper Tyson Waldron of Fulton County was acknowledged for 50,000 accident free driving miles.

Master Trooper Paul Daugherty of Miami County was awarded a certificate recognizing his 30 years of service to the department.

Troopers drive their police cars approximately 40,000 miles per year. They are recognized for safe driving starting at 50,000 miles. They are recognized for years of service every five years.
