Charles Calloway

callowayCharles E. Calloway, 78, of Logansport, passed away Monday May 4, 2015 at 2:50 AM in Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born May 30, 1936 in Logansport to the late Charles Quincy and Gladys F. “Maxon” Calloway. On October 12, 1963 in Logansport he married Judith R. Moyer who preceded in death on September 18, 1987.

Charles was a former general contractor and a distributor for Wick Homes in Michigan. He was also currently employed at the Logansport Home Depot. Charles was a Army Veteran of the Korean war and a member of the National Rifle Association, V.F.W. Post #3790, American Legion Post #60, Tipton Masonic Lodge # 33, Murat Temple of Indianapolis, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Elks Lodge #66. Charles was a 1954 graduate of Logansport High School and was a 1959 graduate of Indiana University

Survivors include his daughter, Candace (Jerrid) Bellamy, Logansport; two grandchildren, Rylee and Ross Bellamy, Logansport; companion, Linda Schlick, Logansport; one niece and several nephews.

One sister, Betty Murphy, and two brothers, Carl and Robert Calloway, preceded in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with pastor Dean Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Creek Cemetery with full military rites.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
