Virginia Ann Frye

Virginia Ann Frye, 80 of Burnettsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Winamac.
Born July 10, 1934, in White County, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Dorothy Blache (DeWitt) Lind.
On October 24, 1952 in the Burnettsville Baptist Church, she was married to Dudley Frye, who survives.
Virginia graduated from nursing school and worked as a nurse for many years.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Logansport. She enjoyed fishing and quilting, but most of all she cherished the time spent with those she loved.
Virginia is survived by her loving spouse of over 63 years, Dudley, two Sons, Clifford (Joean) Frye of Burnettsville and Carl (Jill) Frye of Winamac, four daughters, Clara (Danny) Vitello of Logansport, Marietta Frye of Thornehope, Marlene (Glen) Ward of Thornhope and Melissa (Michael) Weaver of Star City; one sister, Ruth Garr of Wisconsin; one half-sister Twila Lind of Monticello; two step-sisters Carolyn Watson of Burrows and Wanda Lytle of Burnettsville; nine grandchildren, Lexcy Frye, Abby (Bryon) Fife, Aaron Frye, Brian (Allison) Frye, Ann (Adam) Baer, Sarah Goodrich, Dakota Tiede, Marissa Weaver (Bob Tetzloff) and Korin (David) Rogers; and three gread-grandchildren, Seana Redman, Ava Fife and Aiden and Lucy who is “on the way.”
She was preceded in death by granddaughter Rhonda Redman, an infant brother, two step-brothers Rob Grantham and Cliff Grantham and one step-sister Sandy Penn.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Virginia Frye will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
Burial will take place in Seceder Cemetery, near Burnettsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Monticello CDC or Hickory Creek Nursing Home Activity Department.
