Betty Jean Gerber

gerberBetty Jean Gerber, age 82, Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 11:47 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015, at St. Mary’s Health Care Center, Lafayette.

Born July 19, 1932, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Glenn and Virginia Bauer Jacot.

On December 10, 1954, she was married to Rudolph H. Gerber, who preceded her in death on January 28, 1996.

Betty Jean attended St. Joseph’s School in Logansport and was a 1950 graduate of Logansport High School.

She was retired from Fedco Discount Store in Cerritos, Calif. She enjoyed bowling.

She was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, West Lafayette.

Surviving are a son, Glenn (Sueann) Gerber, Yorba Linda, CA; daughter, Jeanie (Robert) Plante, West Lafayette; sister, Carole Jane Hinkle, Logansport; grandchildren, Michael Plante, Eric Plante, Jason Plante, Brandon (Amber) Gerber and Sean (Melissa) Gerber; great grandchildren, Kenadee Gerber and Kingston Gerber.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11: 30 a.m., on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. prior to Mass at the All Saints Parish Hall.

Interment will be in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
