Doris E. Vesh, age 99, Logansport, passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015, in McKinney Place.
Born January 26, 1916, in Adams Township, Cass County, she was the daughter of John J. and Laura Helms Simpson.
On March 24, 1973, in Logansport, she was married to Anthony B. “Tony” Vesh, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1998.
Doris retired in 1979 as office secretary at Rockwell International after 36 years of employment.
Doris attended elementary school in Hoover and Twelve Mile and was a 1934 graduate of Twelve Mile High School.
She had been a member of the Neal Home Board of Directors, Logansport Art Association, Delta Chi Sigma sorority and Business and Professional Women.
Doris was a member of River of Life Christian Church.
Surviving are a step-son, Anthony F. Vesh (Cheryl Meier), Porter, Indiana, and a step daughter-in-law, Dianna Vesh, Land O Lakes, Florida, and many cousins of several generations.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Wood, nephew, J. Joel Wood and step son, Michael Vesh.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, following visitation, with Rev. W. Frank Hibbard officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery.
