Ruth Ann Gallaher, 81, Logansport, Passed away on June 5, 2015 at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born March 24, 1934 in Loogootee, IN, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Zola (Melton) Hotz.
On September 22, 1956 in St. John’s Catholic Church, Loogootee, IN, she was married to Burt L. Gallaher who survives.
Ruth Ann worked as a sales clerk at Sears and Wal-Mart pharmacy in the early 1990’s. She was a 1952 graduate of St. John’s Catholic High School. Ruth Ann enjoyed playing euchre, bingo, sewing, canning, music, especially big bands, dancing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ruth was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
Surviving along with her husband are four daughters, Deborah (Brian) Kraay, Logansport; Janet (Larry) Kite, Logansport; Karen McClure, Las Vegas, NV; Julie (Steve) Board, Noblesville, IN; two brothers, Rex Hotz, Tipton, IN; Robert Hotz, Lake Placid, FL; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
One grandson, one brother and two sisters, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Dominic Petan officiating.
Visiting hours will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Gundrum Funeral Home.
A private burial will be held at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery , Logansport.
