Due to continued problems with trucks and out of town traffic turning east onto Monticello Road instead of onto US 24/35, “road closed” barricades will be placed just east of Beckman Drive on the eastbound lanes of Monticello Road. While the eastbound lanes will remain open to local and emergency traffic, it is hoped the barricades will get errant traffic turned around and onto the proper course before they proceed further east.
This change should be in place by mid-day today – Wednesday 7/1.
