Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Hensel

henselElizabeth “Beth” Ann Hensel, 68, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on August 22, 1946 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Glenna Margaret (McClure) Burkit.  On November 14, 1982 in Logansport she married David L. Hensel who survives.

Beth was a homemaker.  She was a 1964 graduate of Logansport High School and a member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing BINGO, doing puzzles, and watching the Gameshow Network.  Beth enjoyed visiting with people, and spending time with her friends and family, most importantly her grandchildren.

Surviving along with her husband David, are two daughters, Autumn Vail, Logansport; Angela R. Hensel, Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Rory Vail; Ica Vail; and Morgan Vail; two sisters, Mary Lou (Raymond) Robinson; Linda K. (Don) Maxson, both of Logansport.

Beth was preceded by her son, Cpl Shawn D. Hensel.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2015 also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be in memory of Beth to the Logansport Roosters or the American Cancer Society.
