Isabel M. Staggs, 91, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.
Born on January 6, 1924 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Alta L. (Guthrie) McManus. On April 14, 1973 in Logansport she married John Staggs who preceded in death on May 15, 1981.
Isabel was the co-owner of John Staggs General tire on South Third Street. She was a 1942 graduate of Logansport High School, and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. Isabel enjoyed playing with her dogs, and reading.
Surviving is one granddaughter, Allison (Matthew) Hollin, Fishers, IN; twin great granddaughters, Isabel & Lucille Hollin, Fishers; Son-in-law, Ronald J. (Judi) Powlen, Logansport; Niece, Ann (Kenny) Troutman, Logansport; two nephews, James (Sue) Rice, Indianapolis; J. Kelly Rice, Logansport.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Powlen; two sisters, Opal Bobyock and Alice Rice; two brothers, Charles and John McManus.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
