Margaret Ann Ide, 84, of Logansport, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at 7:56 am in Logansport
Memorial Hospital.
Born August 23, 1930 in Cass County she was the daughter of the late Everett and Barbara (Johnson) Gotshall. On October 29, 1950 in Logansport, IN she married Roger M. Ide who preceded her in death on May 22, 2015.
Margaret was a homemaker and a 1948 graduate of Young America High School. She was a member of the Webb Chapel United Methodist Church. She devoted her life to the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and regularly prayed for each and every one of them. She loved the outdoors and taking autumn walks in the woods. Bird watching became her favorite past time in her later years. She loved Purdue basketball and Colts football.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Bill) Bergstrom, Savannah, GA; Cheryl (Steve) Rooke, Fishers, IN; three sons, Larry (Kristin) Ide, David (Cheryl) Ide and Dennis (Sabrena) Ide, all of Logansport, IN; brother-in-law, Harry Burkhart, Logansport, IN; two sisters-in-law, Sonja Gotshall, Kokomo, IN; Betty Gotshall, Logansport, IN; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
One sister, Dorothy Burkhart and three brothers, Jim, Donald and Raymond Gotshall, preceded her in death.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Shiloh Christian Church with Pastor Tim McKaig, Pastor Angel Rea and Pastor Bill Bergstrom officiating.
A visitation will be held at the Shiloh Christian Church from 11:00 am until time of services.
Burial will follow in the Mount Hope cemetery.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Webb Chapel Church.
