Mary Catherine Sawyer Webber, 88, entered into her eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, August 16, 2015, with her family by her side.

She was born on September 8, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, to Alexander Stephens Sawyer and Elizabeth Irene Frank Sawyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John Claypool Webber, on April 8, 2015.

She is survived by a brother, Stephen Sawyer, Ft. Pierce, FL, and her three children, who adored her, Maryruth (Don) Miller, Manistee, MI, Elizabeth Ann (John) Young, Herndon, KY, and John Matthew (Jean) Webber, Lucerne.

She was extremely proud of her 12 grandchildren, Leah, Elizabeth, and Erin (Miller’s), Mary Hildreth, Matthew, Alexander, Laura, and Jeffrey (Young’s), and Sarah, Abigail, John Hall, and Matthew (Webber’s).  She doted on her 19 beautiful great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Webber was a life-long Mother, homemaker, and an integral part, both physically and managerially, of the family farming business, which had its beginning with the North Forty in 1864.

A private service will take place in September, where she will be buried in the family plot at the historic Indian Creek Christian Cemetery.
