SR 16 projects to impact drivers in Cass County

INDOT has announced a couple of projects that will impact travelers on SR 16 beginning Monday, August 17, 2015.

Closure near Royal Center August 17-20
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the closure of State Road 16, between County Road 1050 W. and County Road 900 W, near Royal Center, IN, beginning Monday, Aug, 17 through Thursday Aug, 20 for a drainage pipe replacement.

State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. Drivers traveling east on SR 16 will be detoured north on SR 119, south on U.S. 35, and back to State Road 16. Drivers traveling west on State Road 16 will be detoured north on U.S. 35, south on State Road 119, and back to SR 16.

SR 16  resurfacing between SR 35 and SR 25

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is warning drivers of potential delays on the State Road 16, between State Road 35 and State Road 25, near Logansport starting Monday, Aug 17 through the beginning of November. Crews will resurface a 14 mile stretch of SR 16 in northern Cass County.

During the project, traffic will be reduced to one lane (10’ wide) with flaggers directing traffic. Drivers should be prepared to stop and expect delays.
