noakesZula Esta Noakes, age 95, Logansport, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born July 21, 1920, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, she was the daughter of H. Howard and Emma Amburgy Adams.

On August 4, 1940, in Young America, she was married to Walter L. Noakes, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2009.

Zula was a member of Vineyard Community Church. She was a 50 year member of the Clay Township Economic Homemakers Club.

Surviving are a son, Timothy (Crystal) Noakes, Logansport; daughters, Sandra Noakes and Gail (Allen) Schmidt, all of Logansport; brother, Robert (Donna) Adams, Royal Center; and sister, Joan (Raymond) Gilpin, Akley, MN.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Carrie Robison, Peter (Trina) Noakes, Kathy (Jay) Woods, Joseph (Lucinda) Noakes and William (Erin) Noakes; great grandchildren, Zachary Robison, Anthony Robison, John Robison, Abigail Noakes, Ian Noakes, Isabelle Noakes, Gabriel Noakes; and several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
