Stanley E. Williamson

williamsonStanley E. Williamson, 92, of Royal Center passed away at 8:14 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on July 13, 1923 in Lake Cicott, he was the son of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Hoffman) Williamson.

He was a 1941 graduate and class president of Royal Center High School.

Stanley was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran.

On June 30, 1946 he married Rita King, she survives.

He was a retired Plasterer.  Stanley was a member of Royal Center United Methodist Church, V.F.W. and a former member of the Eagles.  He enjoyed fishing, reading and puzzles.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Williamson of Royal Center, sons, James A. Williamson (Arunee “Dom”) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Dana E. Williamson (Betty) of Royal Center, Wesley O. Williamson (Patricia) of Richland, Michigan and David E. Williamson (Shirley) of Powell, Wyoming and daughter, Kimberly K. Houle of East Peoria, Illinois.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by brother, William, sisters, Susie, Dellla, Lucille and Mary and grandson,

Jason.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home,

Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Adrian Curtis officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial with Military Rites will be performed at McKinley Memorial Gardens in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Association.
