Alvena J. Mollencupp, 85 of Lake Bruce passed away at 2:18 pm, Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester.
Born September 19, 1930 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late, Ray and Eva (Wolfe) O’Blenis.
On October 16, 1953, she married Floyd “Ed” Mollencupp, he survives.
She was a Rochester High School graduate.
She formerly worked at Torins in Rochester where she retired in 1992.
Alvena was a member of Kewanna Church of Christ. She enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center, quilting, knitting, crafts, traveling and baking.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Mollencupp of Lake Bruce, sons, John Mollencupp (Lorna) of Kewanna, Ed Mollencupp, Jr. (Teresa) of Lake Bruce, William Mollencupp (Cynthia) of Indianapolis, daughter, Vicki Luz of Winamac, and brother, William O’Blenis (Erlene) of Rochester. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by son, Phillip Mollencupp and daughter, Debbie Mollencupp.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Kewanna Church of Christ with Pastor Aaron McCombs officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.Interment will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery at a later date.
