Logansport Memorial Hospital is opening a new surgical services suite where three different clinical offices will be relocated in one space. The new suite, located on the second floor of Medical Office Building East, is now home to LMPN General Surgery, LMPN Ear, Nose, and Throat, and LMPN Urology. The physicians and providers associated with each practice will remain on staff to continue serving patients.
“We had space above the Women’s Health Center in Medical Office Building East, and it wasn’t being utilized efficiently,” comments Dave Brumett, Vice-President of Facility Operations. “We had three individual clinics all performing services related to surgical procedures, but were located in two separate buildings and even off-site. Using LEAN principles, we worked to streamline the process for patients making appointments, having follow-up from procedures, or receiving consultations. The decision was then made to consolidate these services into one location. It’s our hope that by integrating these practices, our patients have a better experience when choosing to have surgery at Logansport Memorial Hospital.”

Parking is available in the parking lot located directly in front of Medical Office Building East, just off of Michigan Avenue. To find the Surgical Services Suite, walk through the sliding double doors into the MOB East lobby and take the elevator to the second floor. Turn right off of the elevator and the suite will be directly in front of you.
Patients scheduled for any surgical procedure will still report to the Surgery Department for that procedure, located in the main hospital building. The Surgery Department was recently renovated and expanded back in 2014, with more rooms added and a larger waiting area built to accommodate more patients and families. The LMPN Surgical Services suite is where patients will now go for anything related to an office visit with one of the specialists.
The previous clinic locations for LMPN General Surgery, LMPN Ear, Nose, and Throat, and LMPN Urology will no longer be accessible for patients needing these clinical services. Additional signage will be posted throughout the organization to help direct patients through the hospital, and additional volunteers will be on hand to assist patients in finding their way to the new suite from the main hospital entrance and lobby.
