Margaret E. Blackburn, 97, of Logansport, passed away Saturday October 31, 2015 at 10:55 am in Chase Center.

Born May 17, 1918 in Cass County, IN she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Clingenpeel) Pottenger.

Margaret was a homemaker, member of the Perrysburg Baptist Church and formerly attended the Ninth Street Christian Church of Logansport. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid mushroom hunter in her younger days.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Sue “Susie” (John) Musselman, Logansport; one son, Phillip L. (Sue) Blackburn, Logansport; one sister, Ethel Hyjek, California; two brothers, Marvin (Barb) Pottenger, Denver; Paul Edward (Mary) Pottenger, Rochester; three grandchildren, Joanie (Jeff) Rans; Tammy (Gary) Baumgardner; Daniel (Tosha) Musselman, all of Logansport; three step grandchildren, Melinda (Kent) Young; Melissa (Doug) Harnish; Hugh (Cindy) Gibson, all of Greentown, IN;  7 great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren; 2 great great step grandchildren.

One brother, William Dale “Hook” Pottenger and one sister, Dorothy Orpurt, preceded in death.

A celebration of life for Margaret will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Gundrum Funeral Home with Thad Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Rochester, IN.Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
