Mary M. McCain

Mary M. McCain, 94, of Royal Center formerly of Riverside, California passed away at 4:08 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on September 8, 1921 in Camden, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna Marie (Boose) Morgason.

Mary was a 1939 Camden High School graduate.

On February 8, 1940 she married Willard “Abe” McCain.  He preceded her in death on March 30, 1984. Mary retired from Sears and Roebuck where she was head of the Accounting Department.She was a member of Sunny Slope Community Church in Riverside, California.  She and her husband enjoyed many years of traveling and were known as “Rock Hounds” where they collected, cut, polished and made jewelry out of rocks they found.

Survivors include her daughter, Marcia L. Campbell of Royal Center, grandsons, Dale Campbell of Royal Center and Matt Campbell of Rochester, great grandchildren, Brooke Rayl (Brad), Austin, Morgan, Emma, Mackenzie, Hunter and Hadley, great great grandchildren, Parker, Paisley, Jackson, Maddox, Azaria, Braylee and Beckham, nephew, Don and Janet Smith, and nieces, Buttons Smith and Charlene Porter.

She was also preceded in death by son in law, Dale “Butch” Campbell, sister, Roberta Smith and nephew, Ray Smith.

Memorial Services will be at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Ken Smith officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

A Graveside Service will be held at Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside, California at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sunny Slope Community Church.
