Alan Lee Walters, age 83, Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015, in Orlando.

Born June 24, 1932, in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of David D. and K. May Bloom Walters.

On March 13, 1964, in Logansport, he was married to Charmane Belcher, his wife of 51 years who survives, residing in Kissimmee.

Alan was a retired design engineer for Rockwell Corporation, then Matthew Warren.

He had served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Alan enjoyed traveling but especially enjoyed his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Kevin (Lydia) Walters, Lakeville, MN, Mark (Suzanne) Walters, Fort Worth, TX, Jeff Walters, Kissimmee, FL; daughters, Sheryl (Jack) Shidler, Walton, IN, Kathy (Dan) Cala, San Diego, CA, Dawn (Mike) Metzger, Logansport; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Also surviving are former daughter-in-law, Sheila Walters, Fort Worth, TX, and a son-in-law, Jon Osborn, Logansport.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, with full military honors.
