bruceStephanie Bruce, 50, of Logansport, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, in her home at Camelot Care Center.

Born December 14, 1964, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Jackie Weaver.

Stephanie came to Camelot in 1976.  She completed her special education program at Fairview West and received her certificate of completion in 1983.  She advanced to the continuing education program at Camelot until 1990.  Since then, she has been part of the adult programs with Cardinal, PEAK and Carey Services.

She was a member of the Girl Scouts. She loved to go “skating” in her wheelchair. Although blind and deaf, Stephanie loved feeling the beat to music.

She is survived by her guardian, Jacqueline Curtis of Logansport; her longtime roommate, Renee Allen of Logansport; and the loving caregivers and friends at Camelot Care Center and Carey Services.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Stephanie Bruce will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Susie Wagner officiating.

Burial, at a later date, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service.
