Theresa G. Huff, age 84, Logansport, passed away at 10:43 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2015, at WoodBridge Health Campus with her children by her side.

Born January 4, 1931, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Antonio and Nunziata Ricci Rozzi.

She was married on August 20, 1949, in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Logansport, to James O. Huff, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2012.

Theresa was a homemaker for many years.  She was employed for three years at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital, and retired after ten years as a dental assistant to Dr. Dale Goris.

She attended St. Vincent de Paul School, and was a 1949 graduate of Logansport High School.

She was a devout Catholic and as such, was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.  She was also a member of All Saints Ladies Society, Daughters of Isabella, and the William Paca Lodge.

Theresa loved to watch birds and read.  However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was a devoted mother who took great pride in her children’s accomplishments.  She came from a big family and loved to spend time with her brothers and sisters and their families.  She especially adored her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great-great grandchild.

Christmas was her favorite time of the year as it meant hosting her family, and she began baking ribbons (croost) and Italian cookies in November for the holiday.  She was a mom, grandma, and Aunt Theresa.

Surviving are sons, John (Janet) Huff and David (Ruth) Huff, all of Logansport; daughters, Antoinette (Dale) Bemis, Logansport, and Debra (Tim) Shafer, Noblesville; brothers, William Rozzi, South Bend and Bernard ‘Ben’ Rozzi, Logansport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Jodie Huff Lippe (Kevin), John A. Huff, Jaime Huff Hosler (Shane), Jae Ashley Miller (Brad), Shane DeWitt (fiance Karry Scott), Kim Ellis, Tisha Atkisson (Doug), Rachel Cardwell (Rick), Jessica Bridge, David A. Huff (Briana), Leslie Thompson (Scott), Jessica Shafer (Tim Woddy), and Grace Shafer; great grandchildren, Timothy A. Huff, Colton Miller, Cullen Smith, Paxton Miller, Morgan Miller, Jeffery Wolfe, Jordyn Wolfe, Blake Wolfe, Brady Wolfe, Bryce Wolfe, Tara Woodward, Allen Cottingham (Sharon), Courtney Atkisson, Hailey Atkisson, Ryan Atkisson, Evan Cardwell, Kyle Cardwell, Cole Cardwell, Evan Bridge, Norah Thompson, Polly Thompson, Ingrid Thompson, Miya DeWitt and Grant DeWitt, and great-great grandchildren, Cody Cottingham, Connor Cottingham, and Celia Salazar; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are brothers, Charles Rozzi, Carl Rozzi, Nicholas Rozzi, August Rozzi and Joseph Rozzi; sisters, Florence Gibson, Mary Graf, Ann Ruther, and Virginia Buttice; grandson Luke Joseph Shafer; granddaughter, Theresa A. Kocielko, and great grandson, Justin Jacob William Wolfe.

Visitation will be at Kroeger Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10, 2015, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., with the reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., followed by a William Paca Lodge service.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Dominic Petan officiating.

Interment will be in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
