sappAlice G. “Hanna” Sapp, 106, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on May 4, 1909 in Pulaski County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Schuyler and Nellie M. (Yockey) Whitmore. On September 29, 1931 in Peru, Indiana to Virgil Hanna who preceded in death November 27, 1963. She then married Floyd Emereson “Red” Sapp on August 24, 1978 in Chicago, he preceded her in death on January 17, 2007.

Alice retired from H.W. Gossard in 1953 after 13 years of service. She was a former member of the New Life Alliance Church and the local Garment Workers Union.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Mt. Hope Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope.

A visitation will be held at the cemetery chapel from 10:30 am until time of services on Friday.
