Carolyn J. Gilmore, 57, of Royal Center passed away unexpectedly at 2:12 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Logansport Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
Born May 25, 1958 in Logansport, she was the daughter of James A. and Erie C. (Powers) Watts. On March 25, 1995, she married Darrel L. Gilmore. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2005.
She was a 1976 Pioneer High School graduate and she had also attended St. Mary’s College.
Carolyn was former truck driver with her husband and she also formerly worked at Pioneer Elementary School. She was active in the Pioneer PTO and had been Rifle Instructor for 4-H.
Survivors include her children, Samuel Gilmore of Royal Center, Jennifer Secrest (PJ) of Florida, and Christina Curtis (Tom) of Rockfield, mother, Erie Watts of Logansport, sisters, Betty Harris of Lafayette and Mary Frye of Royal Center and grandchildren, Brittany, Seth, Madison, Ethan, Cayden, Braxton, Baily and Brooklynn.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Fay Duddleston and Nettie Edwards.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger- Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. There will be no service.
Memorial contributions may be made to her son, Samuel.
