blackmondIda Katherine “Kathy” Blackmond, 59, Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 16, 2016, in her home.

Born April 11, 1957, in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Eugene and Edna Bernice (Towe) Boehme.

She was married to David Blackmond, who preceded her in death.

Kathy was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and frogs.

She is survived by on son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lynn & Nichole Espinosa, of Delaware, Ohio; three grandchildren Brandon, Hailie and Justice; four brothers, Mike, Brian and Kevin Boehme, all of Logansport and Freddie Boehme and his wife Joan, of Camden; one sister, Lorraine Kay Martin, of Logansport; one sister-in-law, Kathy Boehme, of Logansport; six nieces and six nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother Mark Allen Boehme; one sister-in-law Linda Boehme; and two nephews Michael and Joshua Boehme.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Kathy Blackmond will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Jacob Fisher officiating.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service in the chapel.
