Suspect wanted on parole warrant arrested after short pursuit

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says a man was arrested after a short pursuit just before 7 p.m. Sunday, April 3.
According to a news release, Deputy John O’Connor observed Bradley A. Bell, 37, traveling north on Burlington Avenue from Colfax St. around 6:56 p.m. Sunday night. The Sheriff’s Department says O’Connor had received information that Bell had an active parole violation warrant for his arrest. According to the news release, Bell allegedly refused to stop and led officers on a short vehicle pursuit that ended at the corner of Gate and Huber Streets when Bell hit an occupied parked vehicle.
Bell was taken into custody without further incident. The Sheriff’s Department says a handgun was located in the vehicle.
Bell was arrested for the parole warrant, resisting law enforcement, driving while suspended and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
O’Connor was assisted at the scene by other Cass County Deputies and the Logansport Police Department.
