Carolyn S. Black

blackCarolyn S. Black, 75, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on December 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late George G. Korreckt and Ruby Jane (Clark) Hardy.  Carolyn’s first marriage was in Logansport to Morris Watts who preceded her in death. She then married Dr. Christos D. Gatzimos on July 16, 1982 in Peru, Indiana, he preceded her in death on January 30, 1999. Her last marriage was to Douglas Black who also preceded her in death.

Carolyn was a Lab Technician for Duke’s Hospital in Peru. She was a member of Lighthouse of Hope Church in Logansport. Carolyn liked to visit the casino and loved attending church, she was most comfortable though spending time at home with her family and friends.

Surviving is one son, Tim Watts, Rockford, IL; sisters, Elizabeth Waddups, Logansport; Ruby (David) Cummings, Portland, OR; brothers, Jim Hardy, Logansport; and Don (Nancy) Korreckt, Fort Wayne, IN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jim Watts; Step Father, Quincy Hardy, one brother, Richard Korreckt; and one sister, Sandra Jane Korreckt.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Bault officiating.  Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, June 24, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Lighthouse of Hope Church in Logansport.
