Sally M. Townsend, 60 of Peru, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 in her residence.She was born on October 13, 1955 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Kenneth K. and Doris (Campbell) Dishon. On October 18, 1986 in Fulton, Indiana she married Terry A. Townsend who survives.
Sally worked at Essex and also owned “Our Place” Restaurant in Fulton. Sally was also a caregiver for her daughter Amanda. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her friends and family.
Surviving along with her husband Terry, are three sons, Jeremy (Kristie) Townsend, Oregon; Jaime (Nikki) Smith, Logansport; Zach Townsend and Fiancé Allison Hormann, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Jennifer (Troy) Roush, Lucerne, IN; Amanda Townsend, Peru, IN; grandchildren, Braxton and Dakota Townsend; and Cole Roush; brother, Jerry (Joan) Dishon, Kokomo; two sisters, Penny Dishon and Dorothy (Patrick) McCann.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kelly and Henry Dishon; sister, Cathy Dishon, and granddaughter Emily Roush.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor George Hapner officiating. Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Friday.
