Mary Kay Baar

Mary Kay Baar, 73 of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2016 at her residence.

Born on October 25, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Dorthea (Goodwin) Sullivan. On August 12, 1961 in Omaha, she married Charles J. “Bud” Baar who survives.

Mary Kay worked in the accounting department at the National City Bank in Logansport. She also worked at Four County.  Mary Kay was a longtime member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Her greatest gift was that she knew how to seek out people who were lonely and find a way to get them involved in something.

Surviving along with her husband “Bud”, is a son, Jim (Sharon) Baar, Logansport; daughter, Pam (Dale) Kobe, Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Kathryn, Jennifer and Adam Baar; Natalie and Carolyn Kobe; two sisters, Gail (Len) Olsen; Patty (Mike) Gatewood, both of Omaha, NE.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Dick Sullivan; and one sister, Donna Brown.

A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Father Dominic Petan officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.
