Maxine N. St. Clair

stclairMaxine N. St. Clair, 101 of Grass Creek passed away at 4:20 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

Born September 30, 1914 in Grass Creek, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Maude (Nickles) Geier. She married Everett V. Long and he preceded her in death. She later married Oren St. Clair and he also preceded in death.

Maxine was a beautician and formerly ran her own beauty shop in Grass Creek. She also formerly worked at H.W. Gossard and General Tire in Logansport for 20 years.

She was a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church. Maxine enjoyed wintering in Florida, traveling, playing cards and crocheting.

Survivors include son, Roger W. Long (Sue) of Muncie, daughter, Dorothy L. Young of Grass Creek and grandchildren, Terry Young (Tony) of Virginia, Lisa Young of Grass Creek, Dr. Monica Nelson (Mark) of Tennessee, Dr. Joseph Long of California, Carole Clohessy (Mike) of Muncie, Jim Young (Candi) of Florida, Amanda Bilbrey (Rick) of Gaston and Dr. Andrea Stout of Marion. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by twin brother, Max W. Geier, 4 sisters and grandson, Michael Long.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at Grass Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor David Sommers officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel.

Burial will be at Grass Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grass Creek United Methodist Church.
