Richard L. Hoff

Richard L. Hoff, 78, of Kewanna passed away at 7:20 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his residence.

Born on November 18, 1937 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Richard D. and Betty Jane (Hammond) Hoff. He was married on August 4, 1956 to Marilyn J. Mannies, she survives.

He was a 1956 Grass Creek High School graduate.

Rich was a banker for 25 years before coming to Kewanna where he farmed and owned and operated RMAR Lawn Care Service since 1986.

He was a former member F & AM Masonic Lodge in Russellville and he was also a former board member of the Kewanna Public Library. Rich enjoyed gardening and reading. He also enjoyed attending soup dinners at Kewanna United Methodist Church and visiting with friends each morning at the coffee shop.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn J. Hoff of Kewanna, daughters, Kim K. Herrell (Michael) of Warren and Rhonda L. Hoff of Rochester, grandchildren, William R. Lockhart II, Justin B. Lockhart, Brittany Herrell, Aaron Herrell and Michael Crozier, great grandchildren, Legacy L. Lockhart, Selena Herrell, Liam L. Lockhart and Nashton Herrell. He is also survived by brothers, Rodney L. Hoff (Linda) of Fletchers Lake and Kenneth Hoff of Rochester and sister, Elaine K. Brown (Jerry) of Lucerne.

He was also preceded in death by infant daughter, Renee Lynette Hoff.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kewanna Public Library and/or the Kewanna UMC Soup Kitchen.
