Thelma Louise Reutebuch

Thelma Louise Reutebuch, 90, of Logansport, formerly of Macy, passed away at 8:43 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2016, in St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Born March 9, 1926, in Oak Park, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late William H. Rylands and Thelma B. Larimer Rylands Kidd.

She was married August 22, 1947, in Peru, to Robert Reutebuch who preceded her in death on November 12, 2004. Robert was the son of the late Casper M. and Eva Marie (Butler) Reutebuch. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy was retired from Conrail Railroad.

Thelma Louise was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the organ and her computer. Thelma was a loving mother and enjoyed her grandchildren and their families.

She is survived by four children: Robert “Bob” (Susie) Reutebuch of Logansport, Nancy (Stan ) Bowman of Royal Center, Larry (Pam) Reutebuch of Logansport and Randy Reutebuch of Rochester; one brother John Parker of Anchorage, Alaska nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one sister Yvonne Chandler and one brother William Rylands. Her husband was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Thelma Louise and Robert Reutebuch will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, in the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel.

The couple will be laid to rest in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport following the service..
