Lay Saengkeo, age 68, Logansport, passed away at 5:15 p.m., on Monday, August 29, 2016, in his residence.
Born in Phonhong Laos January 1, 1948. Lay made the ultimate sacrifice by uprooting his young family from their native country to the US in hopes of being able to provide them a better life. He was a hard worker, devoted family man, who loved life and was the life of the party!
He also had worked for the CIA from 1964 until 1974.
Lay was preceded in death by his mother and father, Pang and Huang Saengkeo as well his sister Yoon; brothers are Joon, Mai, Boonthai and his son-in law, Nick Fisher.
Surviving are his wife and daughter, Chanh and Marissa Saengkeo. And his ex-wife, Houane Saengkeo along with their six children & spouses – Aet & Jeremiah Ely, Out Fisher, Tou & TJ Hendrix, Aeyai Saengkeo, Aenoy & Raven Saengkeo, Lay Daniel & Bailey Saengkeo. Lay Saengkeo also leaves behind five grandchildren- Michael Fisher, Mason Fisher, Nicole Fisher, Silas Hendrix, and Nalani Hendrix. Lay Saengkeo also leaves behind his brother, Edward Chay.
The visitation will be from 12:00 Noon – 4:00 p.m., on Friday, September 2nd, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The Buddhist funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 3rd, at the funeral home, followed by a procession to the crematory.
