gene_hornGene Horn, age 86, of Kewanna, passed away Saturday Oct. 1, 2016 at 11:18 am in Woodbridge Health Campus of Logansport.

Born Dec. 21, 1929 to the late Earnest S. and Mary C. “Bassler” Horn. On Nov. 9, 1952 at Lake Bruce, IN he married Ellen G. Peters who survives.

Gene was the owner and operator of Horn Development. He and his wife Ellen developed and were the former owners of County Line Landfill in Fulton County.

Gene was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge #665, Elks Lodge #2120, Moose Lodge #1107 and the Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend. Gene was a humble man throughout his life and his unmistakable laugh and quick witt will be missed by many.

Survivors, including his wife Ellen, are one son, Dale Horn, Rochester; three daughters, Ruth (Rob) Baker, Logansport; Karen (John) Glaser, San Antonio, TX; Lois (Jack) Shoup, Delphi; three sisters, Mary Lou Parish, New York; Elaine Eudy, Logansport; Beverly Alger, FL; two brothers, Maurice (Janet) Horn, Rochester; Larry (Peggy) Horn, Kewanna; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM Friday October 7, 2016, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor George Hapner officiating. Burial will be in the Metea Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday October 6, 2016 from 2-8 PM at Gundrum Funeral Home

Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children or to the Fulton Masonic Lodge.
